VERY GOOD/EXCELLENT...DAY #1: Some wines just grab your palate the right way...So far i have to say that Calcareous vineyards syrahs are hitting the sweet spot of my palate. Starts with an earthy meatiness that is followed by a cocoa hint that lingers...2 hours after pouring...velvet chewiness ensues...I LOVE this wine...
DAY #2: Some things just get better with time...rich fullness in the mouth today...deep and very immediate velvety cocoa that hints heavier in the mouth than day 1 (I am very partialy to this chocolatey experience)

day one brooding dense dark cherry and blueberry fruit matches the chocolate and wood and tannic backbone; by day two the fruit is more open but the woody tannins have not softened; this certainly can get better with time though the tannins have a somewhat bitter quality;

Nice nose, mostly black fruits. Good color. Little two sweet on the front and some unpleasant mid and after taste. Seems not well balanced.
