Stunningly good - especially as an accompaniment to a Paella! Slightly spritzing, vibrant, prickly, but with nuance, depth, and spice. Lovely balance and a refreshing contrast to food.

Pop n pour. Now 2.5h after opening. Nice aromas of tart apples, fermenting pears, minerals, and a hint of herbs. Palate w tart apples, a bit of lemon, unripe pears, minerals and bit of herbs. Nice finish of herbs, minerals and fruit. Light+ body w outstanding acids. Excellent concentration. Some complexity but really, this is just flat out delicious. 90+

Very enjoyable txakolina, best consumed outside on a warm summer day.

Dinner for next door neighbours (Wanaka Wedge House, Queensberry, Central Otago, New Zealand): Totally consistent with other notes - dry and mineral, with beautiful fruit weight, and real depth of palate nuance. There is a superb tensile strength to this wine, and the melony ripeness, allied with the mineral expression makes for a delicious wine at the dinner table.
