We suspect that there is fault with the Methode champenoise in this wine. Inspite of chilling, it seems impossible to remove the cap without a Formula 1-style eruption from the bottle. The first bottle, only lightly chilled, lost half the bottle. The second bottle, after a few hours in the fridge, lost only about 60ml. As a result, the wine that you actually get into a glass is almost completely flat. That said, its colour is ruby and deep. It’s a fully flavoured, rich and with a perfect touch of sweetness. I enjoy it very much. I think this may be the only vintage they made, which is a shame. If you get your hands on some of it, open it outside, and maybe wear a raincoat. But it’s still a fun and a good wine
