I purchased this wine because it is partly from the Amogoje plot which I drank under the Envinate label in vintage ’14 and thoroughly enjoyed. This is also a very good wine, a little waxy and quite big body for only 12%, with some mixed apples, melons and citruses, and a note of Mediterranean* herbs/sun-warm underbrush. *I know it’s the Canaries but I don’t have a better metaphor. Had this been blind I feel like I could’ve guessed Greece. The wine is not briny as these near-the-sea wines can be, which is a bit of a letdown. All in all, I feel this wine lacks je ne sais quoi but still a good rebuy sub 30€.
