  • What a great introduction to natural wine for someone who drinks lots of bigger French reds, namely Merlot and Cab Sauv. This one is 60/40 Merlot/Cab and has a really nice, complex bouquet on the nose that follows through in the taste of light acidity and funk, while not losing the bright fruit character. Tannins are medium to light but have a great structure that certainly is unique to natural wines. Really enjoyed this and looking forward to my other Jonc Blanc bottles. Highly recommend for someone who wants to explore natural wine while still having some familiarity in the glass.

  • Lovely Bergerac. Comes across as merlot-heavy, but mostly in that it's dark-fruited and silky. Deep, dark, and earthy (muddy in a good way), this is very pleasant, and continues to expand over three nights.
