This is in a great place right now. The fruit notes and oak notes are starting to mature; but there isn't a ton of tertiary stuff yet. (I mean that in a positive way.)
Dried violet petals, milk chocolate, coffee grounds, dried black cherries, dried plums, dust, olive taperande, potpourri and dried green herbs on the nose. The palate adds a note of rubber and motor oil that really dominates as well as tomato leaf. It keeps the fruit, the dust, the chocolate and the coffee from the nose. Excellent intensity of both flavors and aromas. Look, this wine has a lot of oak on it; but it's matured to a point where it integrated perfectly with all the other flavors.
Medium + body, great acid. Medium powdery tannins that linger. The finish is long both texturally and flavor-wise. Great pairing with carne asada.

Color: dark purple, bricking Nose: raisinated and very mature on the nose with still some red fruit but a lot of anise, earth, leather Palate: medium-high acidity, medium-high tannins that still bite in a pleasing way. Body is full, good balance. More red fruit than the nose, quite a pleasing sip with steak Finish: medium
Guessing this is from an age in which folks were chasing parker all over the globe, but what can I say, at this mature age this is a treat with steak. Needs food and always will, drink up, serve not too hot

Deep colour, thick. Wood and dried fruit, tobacco and chocolate. Dry with high acid and evident tannins. Food wine! Taste is complex with dried fruits, dark berries and chocolate, licorice and vanilla. Will last a decade.

Perfect Montepulciano d'Abruzzo: Strong tannins, dried fruit, leather, tobacco. Explodes on the tongue. Open at least 1 h before enjoying.
