Sometimes New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc comes across as almost savage with lemongrass and gooseberry. Though still thoroughly Kiwi, this one is a lot more subdued with an almost leesy, green melon softening of the green garden and heavy citrus. Quite typical color. Active, intense fresh green apple, lemon/lime, other citrus and a taste of honey. Just a touch short of being layered and complex. Nice restraint with acid balance.

Astro turf but all I can think of is the nice pleasing New Zealand flavuit.
Fuller wine on day 2.
