A perfectly respectable crianza that overdelivers at this price point. Rather than a thin, green, fruit driven wine, this has good weight, nice balance, and some lovely savory/umami notes like soy or balsam that give it added interest. I’ll definitely be carrying more of this at my store.

Well, contrary to plan, my second bottle was also PnP from cellar temperature. And I'm not sure whether it is bottle variation or my palate variation, but this time I'm finding everything in a bit better balance: dark red tending to blue fruit, mild acidity and finishing with tannins coating the mouth, but not overwhelmingly so. It still feels quite lightweight and a litle thin, but it's a perfectly pleasant daily drinker that's going down OK with some hard cheese and chorizo.

Briefly, PnP from cellar temperature this was overwhelmingly tannic. Decanted. And hour later the tannins had moderated somewhat; some (but not a lot of) dark blue fruit; very little acidity; and overall rather thin.
I'll try opening my other bottle much more in advance, but on this showing this isn't a repeat buy at the ~US$12 that I paid.
