Vibrant purple color. It's not often that I open burgundy this young - so while I may have missed out on some complexity to develop with age, I found a delicious fruit-forward profile that was very enjoyable, and had the structure for the remaining half bottle to show very well a few days later after gassing with Private Reserve.

Fairly basic and a tad sweet upon opening. More enjoyable, complex and balanced on day two. Paid $20, for that price, I'd opt for several of the more elegant Oregon WV bottlings that can be found here in Oregon.

Reductive nose resolves shortly after opening, presenting dark cherry, wet leaves, and herbal accents. M+ acidity, de minimis tannins. Tart primary red fruit on the palate, swept along on a fast moving current of acidity to prevent the lack of structure from feeling flabby. Entirely serviceable for a $20 Burgundy.
