Showing the sophistication and complexity of age, while still having the vivacity and intensity of youth. Dried red fruit, stewed dark red cherry, fruit leather, singed dried orange peel, pungent lit cigar, bitterness of espresso, leather, tobacco, tar, and black tea. Reminiscent of an intense aged Barolo. M+ acid. Fun, interesting, dynamic, and complex. A real treat.

Very different. It was so new and old all together. The real age of it didn't fully show for 4 to 6 hours. Bright rasberry leather and maybe some sweet tobacco. Light color. But very flavorfull. Medium body....and ever changing over time.

Wow. Recently had a 1989 Mouton and a 2000 Lynch Bages that seem muted compared to this wine. An explosive nose of red fruits, Pomegranate, sage, leather, cinnamon, sticks, fig. The palate is Burgundian with stewed cherries, earthy bloody meat and a fantastic body. Not thin at all. Wish I could’ve bought more.

Notes of orange and stone fruit. Quite nice for its age.
