  • Very pale straw. Attractive but hard to define aroma: not lime...maybe lime blossom. Something delicate, anyway. The relatively low alcohol led me to expect a reasonably sweet wine, but in fact it's thoroughly dry, even racy. A good long finish, propelled by the acidity, and delicate but persistent lime and grapefruit flavours. 12% alcohol, cork with a daft metal stud (like you'd find on the back pocket of a pair of jeans) pushed into the top. Maybe also worth mentioning that the bottle is bizarrely tall - 36cm / 14 inches - which makes it hard to fit inside most fridges or wine coolers. I love Las Perdices reds, but I find this white good but not great: the presentation risks being more of a talking point than the wine, which is so delicate it fails to make a substantial impression.
