Looks like a freshly bottled wine, completely violet on the edges. A bit softer tannins than 2 years ago, but not much...Still the same lovely inner sweetness, and underlying power hiding behind the tannins. This is a great vintage for Cahors! This wine will be very good in 30-40 years!

Extremely dark and opaque. Tight nose of almost spanish character, very primary bouquet still, some elegant fruit and muted spices. On the palate this is full bodied and very tannic still, high acidity but lots of underlying fruit and sweetness. This wine will live for decades. After 24 hours in an open bottle, there are no signs of ageing or oxidization. Still teeth staining colour and anticyamins, the fruit is a bit more open and expressive. The new oak can be tasted, but very much in the background. Interesting wine! Amazing, I had to reopen this tasting note to write: After 4 days in an open bottle, the wine has not changed at all!!

Not super impressed but a wine and grape that well represents the region. It is a bit too rustique for me.
