Still dark purple and very muscular, though this has shed some tannin and baby fat and seems to be in a nice place right now. Filled with blackberries, chocolate and black cherries. I don't drink too many of these big Aussies these days but this one remains a favorite. Surprisingly, the half empty bottle did not do too well 3 days later. 50+12+12+8+8 = 90

2nd Seder at Mom's house. Still purple, this is a big and brawny wine, that while enjoyable did not have its' best showing tonight. Dark berries, toasted oak and chocolate on the full bodied palate. Seems to have dropped some of it's fruit, or maybe just caught in anawkward stage? 50+12+11+7.5+7.5 = 88

Upon opening I really did not like the smell of the cork, but if this is corked it is going to take a while to show through the remarkably explosive wine. Black and dark with fat trails of glycerin down the side of the glass. Raisin, mint, chocolate and pepper leap from the glass. The palate is staining, captivating and intense with blackberry, raspberry, pepper, and spice. The finish clips out a bit surprisingly, so there could be some cork at work here, although it probably just needs some air to open up. Indeed, with time this opened up nicely to reveal a precise and focused Shiraz with surprisingly bright acidity and tart, red fruit on the palate. DAY 2: This never really opened up any further than on day 1. Peppery and spicy, this shows nice texture and vibrancy.

Dark purple in the glass and loaded with coffee, chocolate and dark berries on the nose. The palate is full bodied and explosively fruity, primarily blackberries and blueberries. A long finish closes things out. Yummy! 50+13+13+8+8 =92.

WOW!!!! WOW!!! This wine is unbelievable. No decanting time, this just exploded out of the bottle. Like the regular Wild Duck Creek Springflat Shiraz on steroids. The wine is loaded with blackberries and raspberries and lots of glycerin. Long, long finish. Thoroughly enjoyable.
