  Briefly, for me this is not what I expect from a Sancerre. This is an off-dry, very ripe wine: melons, lychees. There's essentially zero acidity or minerality. It's still a clean, easy-drinking wine, but far from typical Sancerre - more one for the Moscato crowd.

  100% Sauvignon Blanc
  from several plots of the estate with Oxfordian limestones “caillottes”
  and “griottes” planted 6,800 to 8,800 vines/ha.
  Manual harvest. Whole bunch, light pneumatic pressing.
  Cold settling for 24-36 hours at approximately 6°C
  Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats
  and a small part in oak barrel.
  Fined. racked and filtered before bottling.
  14% Abv.
  History: André Crochet and Lucien Picard pioneered bottling Sancerre
  in the 1950s.
  Proprietors/Winemakers: Gilles (grandson) and Laurence Crochet
  
  A(ccuracy)=2: Pale lemon/straw. Mildly aromatic varietal.
  B(alance)=3: Modulated components with fine structure.
  C(omplexity)=2: Apple, melon, mineral.
  D(epth)=1: Savory mouthfeel. Good length and finish.
  
  Wine Tally Score [2,3,2,1] = 8/10
