Brilliant wine. Easy power, finesse, bright and lively. Cool black mountain fruits, scrumptious spices, dark chocolate, crushed rocks, little graphite, hints of vanilla, mint, eucalyptus and fresh flowers. I was just so surprised how light on its feet it felt for a big cab. Truly Cashmere/Kashmir feel. This is gonna get better ! I’m thinking a 98-99! Cheers

From tasting on the mountain, by memory. I simply couldn't believe a wine this young, that spent most of its young life in new oak, could have tannis this supple and refined. This could be shamelessly consumed RIGHT NOW and you would not be disappointed with the integration, balance, and structure. HOWEVER, this will clearly benefit from further cellar time. A classic.
Napa 2023 - The Sequel; 8/23/2023-8/28/2023: Opened 4-5 hrs from a prior tasting, this was the biggest of the wines, some black cherry and primarily sweet juicy plum at this stage. Oak at bay, but a nice tannic backbone carried this along to a medium-long finish. Drink now with 5-6 hr of air or lay down 5-6 years.
