  Continuing my journey through the many wonderful wines from my beloved Silvaner, I find myself with this delicious bottle coming from the large and historic Franken estate, Hans Wirsching.
  This was such a wonderful and classic example of Silvaner from the Franconia region of Germany which is, in my opinion (outside of a few special outliers), the standard bearer for top quality Silvaner.
  This was incredibly mineral and salty with fresh herbaceous notes, a touch of spice, and an engaging nuance of white tea leaf. This showed fantastic purity and really seemed to show that window to the terroir that Silvaner does so incredibly well.
  I am very much looking forward to watching this wine evolve with more time in the cellar. This was another great exploration into a famous winery and vineyard through the transparency that Silvaner uniquely offers.
