It's not terrible, definitely not great, but cheap and redilly available AND drinkable with heavier foods and goes perfectly with certain dishes.
As others have said, it's Pinot noir that's a little too sweet. It's very noticeable from the moment it touches your mouth. There's nothing really noteworthy about it, it's just a sweet Pinot noir with the basic flavors muted.
It pairs excellently with Indian and Punjabi food, if you're not feeling like a white semi sweet wine, then go for this red. I had tandoori chicken with masoor dal, and it was a fantastic pairing.
It's Total Wine and More's best selling Pinot noir, so it's very "pedestrian American unfamiliar with wine" sort of wine, I don't mean that in a bad way. I have plenty of friends who are not into my wine hobby as much as I am, she they would love this wine. If you have an account on Cellar Tracker, you'll probably not be very impressed with this wine. Give it a casual shot with Indian food when your friend are over.

Hadde med til Ål.
Meget god, men hadde den til pasta og kjøttsaus. Andre viner passer bedre
