A violet purple to deep blood red in the glass. On the nose notes of dried apricots, plums, and cherries. There are some oak or earth notes on the nose as well. The wine seems to have a high amount of VA. On the pallet, it is quite sweet and juicy turning to a more grippy and acidic mid pallet. It is chocolaty or bitter on the finish; however, very short.

cheers - just ok for the price value at $14. Too much dark chocolate and bitter flavors....TJ's $6 d'Abruzzo is better!

Nose: Leather, slightly acidic dark fruit, raisin, dark rum, some geranium and coffee.
Palate: Tobacco on the entry, dry fruit. Some tannin. A bit short with unintegrated acidity.
Has a nose that makes me think of port mixed with a splash of dark rum. Quite odd.
