  • Lemon hue, low intensity. Young-developed, low intensity nose, yellow fruit, wax, fresh and clean. Floral notes added day two. On the palate dry, high acidity, medium body, 13%. Oily texture. Flavours of yellow fruit, pineapple, wax, some fruit drops candy. Very good length with complex flavours and a slightly bitter end. Resistance in the afterfeel. Tastes intensive, a taut concentration. Just better and better as it opens up in the glass.

Info from producer: 70% Albillo Real, 30% Macabeo (Viura). Albillo grapes from a range of estate vineyards, Macabeo from a single plot at 830 m elevation. Vines 50-90 years old. Different soils and microclimates. Fermentation in 500-600 l French oak barrels. Macabeo aged >6 months in 2500 l fourdre on its lees, Albillo 6-9 months in French oak barrels. No battonage. Village wine expressing the San Martín de Valdeiglesis' terroir. Non-certified organic.
