  • OK, this is the 16th day this bottle has been opened and about 3/4 full, closed off with a vacuum stopper. I can't remember my first taste of this, but it's drinking very well now. The nose is a balanced mix of wood, smoke and flowers. Medium bodied and smooth, with a bit of sweet fruit. Very little of the smoky/woody notes until the end. The finish is still clean and slightly tannic, but less than expected for being open so long. Enough to feel it on your teeth, but not enough to make them grit or squeak. I'm impressed all around.
