We planted 2.5 acres of Tocai Friulano at our warmer Johnson School vineyard in 2004. The esoteric grape of Tocai Friulano is also known as Sauvignon Vert, cousin to much more prolific Sauvignon Blanc and it's a quirky varietal we love. The wine is an aromatic treat with peaches, mineral, citrus, and a hint of spice. The rich, dry palate exhibits honeysuckle and cool melon and finishes with nicely zippy acids. A perfect wine partner for shellfish and curry. Or it's delightful on its own. Let your quirky flag fly!
