Not sure if this is the same wine as other notes, this being from Moorabool, St Peters clone from Block 6
Blackcurrant, inky spice on nose Dense dusty tannins, smooth texture. Dusty finish with inky black fruit and long spice 12.5% abv, very much cool climate shiraz

Winery visits Jan 2023; 1/13/2023-1/27/2023 (Vic, Tas): {screwcap, 13.8%, A$58} Proper wine of the soil this. Red purple fruit lives under spice and pepper. There’s a taut line of astringent skin character on the medium length palate as well, finishing with a tobacco twist. Medium weight, with medium dusty tannins. Unobtrusive oak too. Good wine, good value.

Deep violet in the glass. Typical aromas for a cool climate Syrah - freshly picked blackcurrant, red plum, blackberry, loads of black/white pepper. Medium-bodied with high acidity, moderate alcohol. Quite a straightforward fruit profile. No depth or complexity, but good QPR.
