I was caught a little off guard by this Oregon wine's Burgundian funk, but not necessarily in a bad way. This was made in more of an old world style than what I've tasted in some of Brandborg's other wines, but there's still quite a bit of acidity which I was looking for. It could benefit from an hour or two in the decanter, but I drank it right after opening and still enjoyed it.

Fairly reduced - though not to fault levels. Dark fruit - fairly simple. Nothing to get too excited over.

Poured at a retailer tasting. Notes of earth and cherries with a subtle funk. Nice acidity, with cherry and cinnamon flavors.
