  On the lower end of "perfectly acceptable and solid value" for me, not an interesting wine but a really tasty and nicely balanced one for the price. Fruit forward for sure, raspberry preserves, black cherry, a bit of cola, and just a touch of potting soil or some other earthy accent. A lot more giving on the palate than the nose, with surprisingly vibrant acidity and a burst of ripe red fruit. Nice structure too. I wanted to rate it a bit higher, but it really seemed to clam up a bit after the first glass, and had a hard time getting its expression back. Not sure how it would age- probably well in the short term. Enjoyable for sure, not sure I'd need to try it again.
