Drank blind alongside the '05 Potel Cotes-de-Nuits Villages and a California PN from Gary Farrell. Initial nose of menthol with an antiseptic taste and muted red fruit. Over time the menthol/antispetic notes faded a bit and the fruit (primarily black cherries) fleshed out some. Slightly astringent at the moment, this could probably use a few years in the bottle, but it does have potential. Definitely a step up from the Cote-de-Nuits Villages, but not nearly as expressive at this stage as the Cali.

Tastes of liquorice and a little tobacco, no great aftertaste, young and need time.
