  Flash-decanted. Not quite black, but dark, clearing toward the rim. Nose gets more yielding with time and air. Bacon fat, black olive, blood orange, and black fruit come through. A black tea and spice aspect as well, some vegetal notes. Pine needle? Let's give it a whirl. Nice dark fruit up front, good acid and tannin structure, not over the top at all, nice lingering blackberry, black plum, fig, black tea. A lot of umami in the juicy mid-palate, and a medium-long finish. Medium-full bodied. This is very nice at 7 years old.
