The only designated Capalot cru bottling? From La Morra, you get from Viberti an early approachable midweight barolo with lovely aromatics, perfumed and elevated of cherry, black truffle, damp earth, licorice, menthol. Palate is sweet and lively, tannins offcause present and slightly grainy but polished and not obtrusive to the experience. Not overly complex, but perfumed, lovely balanced and elegant. long finish

Samples from Bill #6: Ashy, roses, earthy truffle and plummy - some contrasts to unravel on the nose. Palate is sweet upfront but tightens up across the line and the tannins end up providing a pucker to the mouthfeel - ending with medium length as a result. I think the tannins will settle and this could do with more age to let that happen.
