A private dinner (Wine Bar Oocker, Amsterdam, NL): Single vineyard in Ludes, 100% Pinot Noir, 12.5%, bottled June 2022, 12.5% ABV. Deep colour for a Coteaux Champenois, saturated ruby red. Ripe black and blue fruit on the nose, typical for the vintage both here and in Burgundy, hint of vanilla pod, floral lift, spicy depth and limestone freshness; good weight and balance on the palate, supple and juicy, silky and energetic, fresh but ripe acidity and a firm minerally core, papery tannins; slightly disturbing liquorice notes on the finish on the first day, but fortunately they have disappeared on day two, revealing a finish with good resonance and length with a welcome touch of warmth from the wood. Lovely wine.

Very good. Definitely on the darker fruited side. Some spices. Smooth tannins, good acidity. Complex with a long finish.

I will not attempt to say it better than the note below, which I find very accurate.
