  • Intense nose of iodine, gun flint, burnt match and mussel shells all covered in lemon oil. Straw yellow in colour, more like meursault and not some other high acidity chard. On the palate, rich, great legs, lemon melon, green apple with more lemon on the way down. Good length, medium plus and quite rich. I find the wine more intellectual than a wine of pleasure today. Too much going on, not integrated yet, better in 2 to 3 years and probably at its best between 2025 -2035.

  • In the glass, the wine is straw yellow. Did not decant this, I simply opened it and let it breathe in the bottle as I was drinking it. Note was taken after a few hours of the wine being open. Not a fan of typical Jura wine, I must admit This to me, is more like a lean Meursault than a typical Jura which probably explains why I like it so much. Slight oxidative notes, but not nearly as much as I would expect. On the nose, honey, salinity, red ripe apples, some pear, and a good amount of lemon. On the palate more of the same, sea spray salinity (not Chablis-like necessarily, just like being at the beach), honey, ripe red apples, pear, an herbaceousness that I can’t quite pinpoint, and some lemon. Medium plus length. Medium plus acidity. Overall, I really really like this wine, though I think it would benefit from a few more years in the cellar, to gain a bit more complexity and weight.

  • Un beau chardonnay frais et minéral! Pas du tout oxydatif.
