A very fine Fume Blanc, probably the finest one I’ve tried from Napa. Sourced from a single vineyard of To Kalon, a blend of 90% SB and 10% Semillon, aged in FR oak, a portion in new. Pale lemon colour. Medium+ perfumed intense aroma of herbs, smoky lemon, flint, papaya, ginger, jasmine. Medium body, expressive and pleasantly tight and nervous structure, chalky, stony and smoky pear, lemon, apple and passionfruit flavours, well balanced high acidity.
