moderate faded dark ruby, slightly cloudy with some bricking; stewed plum and berries, a little asphalt, some juicy red and black fruits; slick but still slightly rustic, almost CdP level in mouthfeel but a little less in the mid-palate, round with fine aging dry tannins. This was in good shape but won't improve. I like this but just a little boring.

Pop and pour not showing well. Needed time. After ~30:00 the wine began to show but just Leather, dark chocolate, berries, vanilla notes and oak. Somewhat alcoholic but not over the top. Medium hue of garnet with strong legs. Medium body with full agressive tannins and acidity. Starting to show very well. Great QPR.

Not getting the balance of fruit and tannins. Even the next day I felt the alcohol and tannins overwhelmed the fruit in this wine. Perhaps it is still a bit young. I would recommend aging for a few more years.

Classis example of the Rhone. Great fruit and firm tannins without too much bite.
