Big, bold and juicy. Big hints of deep cherry. Aroma that fills the nose, with a hint of smoke. Great wine, not really anything bad I can say, even on a 2nd day tasting

Retail $15. Under screw cap. Trivento makes a ton of Malbec. A ton. In fact, I would venture to guess that one could find a bottle of Trivento on just about any grocery store shelf that sells more than a few bottles of wine. Apparently, for some people, that is a bad thing but let me tell you, I would be hard-pressed to find a better value than this Trivento Malbec Reserve. Dark fruit (blackberry and plum) is plentiful on the nose with some cigar smoke, spice (clove, black pepper), and notes of coffee and cola. The palate is quite nice as well with reserved but also rich fruit (is that possible?), plenty of tartness, and an above-average, spicy finish. All for just north of ten bucks?

Lovely slightly spicy, smooth red. Another great single varietal.
