  • Delicious. Wine like this can hard for me to review because the various elements; fruit, minerality, tannins, oak, and age, are in harmony. Nothing stands out, it just tastes like delicious red wine. Like if you were to look up "red wine" in the dictionary I would think of this. I made a Spanish lamb stew with white beans (and lots of red pepper, garlic and paprika) with this in mind and it was a perfect pairing. Full bodied but not heavy or overbearing in any way. Black fruit, little bit of oak softened by 13 years in the bottle, iron, black tea, and a bit of tobacco on the finish. Will be buying more of this one for sure.
