  Nose: Intense and plummy, with a vivid dose of sourness to it. Some metallic aromas are hinted at. Palate: quite sour/acidic, yet pleasing berry flavors hold their own. Finishes with a bit of oak and pepper. Medium to medium-light mouthfeel, which is surprising given the high (15.6%) alcohol content. Solid bottle, unexpectedly non-zin-like. Should go well with burgers on the grill tonight.

  Maybe I've just had a lot of bad wine recently, (Agustinos pinot noir, for example) but THIS tastes great. nose: blackberry, licorice, dust, sweet hard candies in various mysterious fruit flavors from grandma's coffee table. palate: Mouthfeel is nice, jamminess comes through, acidity does it's part, and it finishes well. Not amazing or anything, just a good, solid fruit bomb.
