  • Lovely pure expression of Sangiovese, essence of Sangiovese even. Slightly shy nose, sour cherry, raspberry, dried oregano, pencil shavings. The palate is where the magic happens. Those beautiful Sangiovese tannins are mouth filling yet supple and creep everywhere. Great intensity and a long finish, those cedar pencil shaving notes linger. Paired to a 1.1kg reverse seared tomahawk, de-light-ful!

  • 2023 Montalcino trip, third vineyard visited. Dark purple color, soft nose. Modest first Brunello taste fresh and and into a dry quick and very slight earthy finish. Medium linger.
