  A great merlot-dominant Bordeaux blend from the Osoyoos area that straddles a fine line between old and new world sensibilities. A big nose of oak guides a symphomy of ever so slightly stewed dark fruit onto the palate, rich with tones of blackberry, bramble and plum alongside an accompaniment of vanilla, toasted caramel and dark cherry. The mouthfeel holds chalk and tobacco textures in a velvety embrace that plays nicely with the powerful and far-reaching tannins. The finish is medium-long, somewhat dry and certainly poised, making for a pleasantly integrated sip that doesn't see the fruit notes get jammed up along the way. Good? Absolutely. Great? If it's on sale. Amazing? Not quite there, but a couple more years in the cellar might kick it into a higher gear.

  Le Grand Vin 2019 d’Osoyoos Larose exhibe une robe d’une teinte rubis foncé. L’assemblage bordelais typique crée un vin dominé par des arômes et des saveurs de mûre, de cerise noire, de vanille, de cèdre et de terre humide. Structuré, intense, complexe, équilibré et long en bouche, ce grand vin canadien me charme millésime après millésime.

  Clear dark purple in colour. Notes of blackberry, tobacco, and dark chocolate. Still very tight and tannic, but still lots of fruit, and softens up with time. Will only get better with some time.

  Deep red color wine with nice mix of tannin and dark cherry. Taste is a bit juicy but not overly so. Enjoyable but not up to par with the classic Bordeaux.
