A refined non-alcoholic wine crafted using cold filtration to extract alcohol while preserving its wine-like essence. With a pleasing acidity complementing its fruity notes, it offers a familiar wine taste. Though lacking the depth or complexity of traditional red wines, it presents hints of berries and green apple, ending with a straightforward finish. An appealing choice for wine enthusiasts seeking an alcohol-free option, albeit with a touch less complexity.

Of course, it’s easy to criticize these creatures, but when on a medication, not allowing wine, and with water as the only viable substitute, this stands in adequately. The best of this group, we found (so far) is the German bottling labeled “drink riesling not water.” But as a read, we preferred this version to the “Hand on Heart Cabernet Sauvignon,” which we found, compared to this, even more lacking in body.

Certainly won't fool you into thinking it's proper wine. Dark purple color and candy nose of grape and green jolly rancher...pretty sweet taste of grape juice. No tannins or mouthfeel. It's a nice change of pace from sparkling water but won't be in regular rotation

Essentially a better Welch’s grape juice. Probably good for breakfast but not as a wine. NA wines still have a way to go before they catch up with NA beer.

2021 Ariel Cabernet Sauvignon Dealcoholized Wine (California) After reading that this was one of the best dealcoholized red wines available in the US, I was looking forward to my sampling opportunity. The nose was quite subdued with a slight fruity essence. The seriously dark colour suggested the hopeful possibility of prolonged skin contact and flavour extraction. However, the grape juice taste was sadly simple and slightly tart (or perhaps tightly smart?), clearly built to be a non offensive wine-like beverage with an added smidge of residual sugar to rein in the acid. The complete absence of any real tannins or complexity led to a rather quick taste drop off. My overall impression was one of black currant Kool-Aid or Ribena “light.” Disappointing. Despite increasing consumer demand, production of a decent dealcoholized wine seems to be an elusive objective.
