  • Wow!! singing straight out of the glass.
blackberry, blueberry, clove, botanical, raspberry, black pepper, mocha...
plenty on the nose, both primary and secondary.
med-heavy palate, finishing fine, med-long with black fruit cedar, choc, tannins.
Beautifully balanced all the way nose to finish.
very special old vine oz wine!
This is what barossa/Eden valley is about.
enjoy it now but no reason to say another 3

  • Very well rounded wine which has aged superbly. Aroma of fruit is devine and flavours almost in alignment. Smooth berries with just enough restraint, and well balanced. Tannins are still present but do not hit you up front. Long finish! Sediment is still quite fine but building. Will keep an eye out for more at a good price.

  • Opened one of these last night after grabbing a selection from the cellar. Superb wine, beautiful, balance, the oak has well and truly settled into he wine and after 24 hrs started to show some if the fine tannin referred to above like a candy rapper to a chocolate. I rarely buy wine from the Barossa these days but this reminds me of what i used to love

  • Great wine. Many more years left but drinking great at the moment. Well balanced. Full body and medium to long finish. Plum, Blackberries, chocolate, vanilla, barnyard, and cassis taste and nose. You might think this is a sweet wine by my description but its not. Amazing taste throughout. Well done. Too bad it was my one and only bottle.

  • A nose of dark fruits and sweet spices, dark purple in color. A smooch and full bodied Shiraz, with raspberry, jam compote, blackberries, layers of flavor. I have learned with these big Ausi Shiraz’s to hold them for at least 8 years, at it’s peak, good stuff. www.winelx.com
