this tasting note is from a bottle that has been opened for about 3 weeks. Medium ruby brown color. The nose almost has an almontillado sherry like nose. It does not really smell sweet. On the palate the wine has good, but not too much sweetness, medium body and lots of toasted almonds and baked apple. Really delicious. Drank this with a welknown Brunello maker who never had a sweet wine from Australia and went nuts over it. Never knew anything like this excisted.

Tawny-amber colour with a viscous/syrupy texture. Huge aromas of caramel, raisin, roasted almonds, figs and some brown spices with notes of alcoholic spirit. Similarly rich, sweet flavours follow in the mouth with a little alcoholic heat and a medium-long finish. Pleasant, although a little disappointing in comparison to the Rutherglen fortifieds at this price point.

Caramel, figs, & overripe plums with a crisp acidity to back it up

Same as my last bottle. Rich and sweet with flavours of caramel, raisins, figs and roasted nuts with some perceptible alcohol.

Nice overall, well balanced and interesting. More sugar than fruit at the end gives it a simple finish.
