A lovely wine from just outside the Côte Rôtie appellation. Fermented with indigenous yeast with the stems in concrete/used barrels for about 12 months. Meaty notes of smoked bacon fat, blood, herbs, black pepper and dark berries - this wine has all the classic Syrah notes. The taste is juicy, succulent and intense with good structure, bright acidity and a lovely tannic grip. This one is hard to spit…

100 Syrah
nose a bit funky first turning white paper after aeration, not much else than the pepper
palate is acid driven, tannins are soft and integrated, a drinking wine, with light body for Syrah, with oily and fat finish texture.
