Opened and served immediately. Followed over about two hours. Dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of smoke, currants, dark berries and a dash of white pepper. Flavors of berries, cherries and a dash of red currants on the slightly clipped finish. Light to medium acidity, medium tannins, medium body. Drink or hold. After tasting this wine on a couple of finishes I got an impression that the wine might be very mildly corked (it did not show up on the nose) so I'm withholding a rating as a result. Didn't stop me from finishing it though!

Perfectly decent Zinfandel although a bit pruny and simple and therefore disappointing. I tasted this wine at the winery last summer and bought a singleton, so I wasn't wowed by it but it showed better then. Kept indoors (air-conditioned) but not cellared. Best on the pop and pour. Hmmm.

15.3% alcohol. This was more open than the first bottle, and this one had more air. Spicy black fruit, smooth in the mouth, great acidity. Just a very fine drink. A-

15.3% alcohol. Probably too soon to have drunk this. It was still reticent. The bouquet never gave me all that much. The fruit was big and ripe, with less acidity than I anticipate from a Swan Zinfandel normally. Tasty but a bit simple. Plenty of tannins on the finish. B+
