  • Delicious, as always. I detect a little more Malbec qualities then previous vintages I've tried but surprisingly I think this is the youngest Weinert I've tried. Still lots of Bordeaux notes. Red and black fruits. It shows some secondary characters, but this is very fresh right now, and refined. A really lovely bottle, and offers exceptional value when the aging is considered. After a little air its remarkable how integrated all the flavors and structure are. It's seamless. Wonderful bottle of wine.

  • Interesting nose needs time to develop. Band-Aids/Brettanomyces but also deep, dark black and blue fruits, wood and spice. Medium-full bodied and concentrated with loads of sweet fruit that is more apparent than the nose led on. Hints of dark chocolate, wood spice, mulled wine and rich black cherry and currant jams. Drink now-2035 92
