Bottle 1301g. Moderately intense aromas of red and black fruit, herbs, sweet spice, wooden furniture. Dry, with elevated fresh acidity, moderate tannins, medium bodied, 14.5% abv. A little heat, but it comes across as spiciness. Otherwise, nicely balanced, interesting and elegant, not jammy or porty. Day 2: much softer and sweeter-seeming; maybe not the best choice for BTG.

Blackberry and currant. Closely bound by dry, pine box grip. A solid simple, clean, structured cab.
