Direct and fruit driven; plum, cherry, some peppery reduction, somewhat reminiscent of a new style Spanish garnacha or Canary Islands red. Juicy and fresh, with tannin that tugs at the teeth, and cherry jolly rancher acidity. Spicy, probably from the whole cluster. A tiny hint of gaminess on the back. Good value.
A little mousy day 3, but thankfully it went away. Goes incredibly well with food, the acidity feels bright and the spice complements Indian food great.
