  The heft of the bottle and 5MM cork give me high expectations. Nearly opaque, the dark, mature magenta color gives way to whiffs of ripe blackberry compote, oak and warm pavement. The palate opens to a very young Merlot with tannins and fruit still resolving. Dark bing cherry, and oak. I look forward to watching this progress over the next 5, 10 years. Reminds me of a right bank wine, in a very good way.
