Not really a fan. Typical Syrah-nose, which i dont mind in a Pinot. But the palate lacks some energy - acid, body and tannin. A lighter Syrah-dominated wine from S Rhone does the job better, in my book.

Fruit Day - customers asking about this one so thought I’d give it a try. Transparent crimson in a Pinot Noir glass. Nose is warm with spice, red flowers, red fruit (cherry and strawberry) and a tiny bit of earthiness. On the palate the red fruit comes first and covers the palate. With some chewing the spice comes through along with some leather and light tannins. The fruit and spice go on into the finish. This is a well made, well balanced New World PN with a nod to the Old World. I am impressed. Drink now and over the next 5 or so years. With the price of Bourgogne skyrocketing this is worth checking out. It does remind me of Oregon Pinot Noirs so if that’s your preference it should satisfy that palate too.

Hot. Let it air out a bit. The wine looks brick colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raspberry, tomato, black pepper and oak. It tastes like prune and strawberry. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.
