  • First thing's first; I have to respect any producer who grows Mission in Napa Valley AVA. The opportunity cost is enourmous. Hendry obviously cares about the history of winemaking in California.

Maple syrup, tree sap, pine needles, dust, fresh red cherries and cranberries on the nose. The palate is a fruitier - you taste less of the non-fruit flavors and more of the red fruits. Medium bodied with medium acid.

It's worth having a bottle of this in any Napa lineup for the history alone.
