  • Handed this blind, the 2 phrases that rang aloud my mind when I first nosed this was, "What the heck is this" and "I've not had this before, what can this be!?".

Explosive bouquet of toasted popcorn, flint, cream soda and pineapple which translated to a viscous mouthfeel of ripe yellow fruits and smoky flint. Mid-palate had such tension, depth and such layered complexity yet maintaining balance with freshness, laser precision and purity. Great acidity rounds off the palate and evolves in a long finish - surely, time comes to a standstill and one just floats away..

My first ever D'Auvernay, this was nothing like anything I've ever tasted before and incredibly thankful that it is my favourite vintage to boot. Truly a religious and monumental experience to have tried this beauty.
