Oregon Trip-Day 2 (Here and there, Willamette Valley): Medium yellow. Some lees and oak, much less fruity nose. Nice spicy apple entry that isn't as sweet as the WV bottling. Good soil, but average acidity makes it feel loose and lacking balance.

A deeper nose with citrus fruit, asian pear, soil and jasmine. Terrific depth and breadth on the palate. A spherical, harmonious wine with power and toothsome extract delivered with effortless poise. Subtle wood spice, mandarin notes, and florals on the back end. Long yet mouthwateringly fresh. Zen like calm. Seamless. Terrific. Dang.
A bottle Will had opened two days earlier had terrific depth, a little rounder textural feel and excellent clarity.

Now this is good. Really good. Starts with a slightly reductive note, then reveals flowers, fruit medley, nuts, and spices that go on seemingly forever while the acidity dances across the tongue and sparkles like fireworks. This wine is one of my contenders for best Oregon Chardonnay and I had to buy some. 95pts.
