A private dinner (Café Parlotte, Amsterdam, NL): Made from ungrafted 150 year old Verdejo vines in Villanueva del Duero, and (starting from the 2020 vintage), 100 year old vines in Hornilles de Eresma, organic viticulture, total production of 2,018 bottles and 30 magnums. Whole cluster. Marvellous old vine depth, concentrated yet elegant, creamy citrus (lemon, bergamot), herbal elements, yeasty complexity, beautifully integrated ripe acidity, mouthcoating palate, harmnious and richly textured, much more generous than I remember from the 2019, long and complete finish. Star quality.
